Crash Testing Pickup Trucks -- Are you safe?

Is your pickup truck as safe as you think it is? Just because there are tons of steel around you doesn't necessarily mean you are safe. The IHHS has recently released their evaluations of 2016 full size pickup trucks. You might be surprised at their results.
I make no bones about it. I am a Dodge man. However, these test results may make me reconsider my preference the next time I purchase a truck.
Out of the seven trucks tested, only three earned an acceptable or higher rating for occupant protection in a small overlap frontal collision. There were two body styles were evaluated by IIHS - Crew cab pickups and extended cab pickups. Each were evaluated and scored accordingly. See the video and chart below:
